I note that in particular the GT class has an upper limit of 20,000 rpm for the ninco motors and other brands of motor limited to 19k. (or no better than standard 18k, which is fine). I see slot it have produced a 19.5 k rpm motor which would allow other cars in the GT class a bit more of a leg up. ie: all mabuchi motors are limited to 18k which is a fair way from the 20k output of the ninco. You can even purchase an adaptor for the scx chassis which would really put the cat amongst the pidgeons. Perhaps committee could consider this as an amendment to the rules in due course. I imagine the grid will be all ninco for the first round.
I think the 19k motor limit was just to cover putting a SCX Pro Turbo or RX 42B into a slow SCX car, the Scalextric 20k motor has already been ruled out so the Slot it 19.5k will probably be ruled out too.
I'll have a Ninco for a back up at the first round but will be trying a couple of other cars out to race that are not Ninco.
