Needs to be separated out. no to gears yes to alloy hubs, I dont know why but Im forever having trouble with ninco plastic hubs either cracking or out of round.

I guess so, can't say I've had too many wheel issues of any brand, other than some falling off either, not glued or glue failure.
Is the going to set an expensive "must have" to be competative precedent?

gday Glenn, I don't think it will make you any slower not having them - but may be wrong. It will give you the confidence that your wheels won't fall off coz they'll be grub screwed onsmile

Yes but only for alloy wheels on the rear only and with inserts that match the front rims.

Glenn, the SCX alloys are only $7 a pair but like Shane said I don't think it will make you any faster but I like the idea that if I have a broken or way out of round rim I could replace it with something better.

only if we race with the same brand. otherwise you know what will happen, someone will win with one brand and others may think they need to buy additional to keep up
