As long as it is a muscle car and its both proportionally and scale correct within reason. The other issue is interiors, RTR's have a full interior.

What about plastic bodies? Is this restricted to Resin as per the title?

Yes, already got some in planning using the RTR interior.

Plastic bodies also and what about wheelbase, a 69 Dodge Charger is approx 6.5mm longer than a Mustang or Camaro, cut to stretch OK.

Short answer  - NO

The idea in letting Resin/plastic bodies in is to change the 'look' of a car not change the chassis

 Bugger, scrap one Mustang chassis.  Have to keep an eye out for a cheap Carrera Dodge or Plymouth.
