Seems OK if you want to get the magnet lower.... a lot of work 'eh?

I think the current way is easier... no mucking around with re-setting bushes etc.

After pulling my Skaife VE apart last night - I think there's another "easy" fix that will allow lowering effectively. Trimming the front wheels/hubs as they are wider thand than body itself. Would this be and acceptable/allowable mod, or does anyone else have a suggestion? smile

I had to shorten the hub's on my VE (see AUSLOT) but i'm using Ninco rim's so doe's that make my car illegal?

I'd have to say so cos the poll shows over 90% want standard hubs/gears

Does this "non-allowed" modification include hub inserts into the stock scaley wheels/rims??

Shane, I reckon if you are cutting out the spokes to fit an insert, it's not a standard item anymore.

What is the real gain here as long as the wheels basic dimensions are maintained? If the width and the diameter are maintained how will this effect performance? More astheticaly pleasing?

The only "gain" as such would be a more asthetically pleasing look to the model, no alteration to the width/hieght, just the dremmelling out of enough "inner" rim material to allow for the insert.

And if enough people want them for their cars, Holden or Ford, I'd be happy to do the mod for free for those who are aren't game enough to try it!!!!

I thought it was a good idea to destroy a $25 chassis rather than a $55 car, if it's not allowed then it's not allowed.
