Generic Rules and Regs for all classes

  1. Please note each class may have specific regs applied ONLY to THEM.  The regs listed below are an overall view
    RULE #1 - HAVE FUN
  2. Scrutineering
All cars to be raced will be inspected prior to racing.Top three cars may be opened after racing. The Scrutineers/Committee's ruling is final
  3. Motor may be secured (glue, tape or similar)
  4. Glue bushings to the chassis
  5. True & Glue tyres and wheels
  6. Loosening of body screws no restriction on brand of screw, must be fitted in the same locations as the originals)
  7. Motor run-in (no additives, drops or sprays allowed, eg Voodoo drops, WD40, etc this comes down to honesty)
  8. Mirrors , aerials, brake ducts, exhausts, minor fins and minor wings may be removed
  9. Cars may be repainted
  10. Remove or disconnect Lights, electronic Chokes and reverse switches
  11. Interior (not body or chassis) may be trimmed (as little as possible) if causes tyres to rub
  12. Light kits may be added, as it will not enhance the cars performance
  13. Replace braid (no restriction on brand)
  14. Tyres can be cleaned using sticky tape that does not leave any residue on the tyre (eg Magic tape)
  15. If any consumable's (gears, pinions, motors, tyres, bushings, wires, braid, axles, wheels and tyres) are worn/damaged during racing the following applies:

may be replaced with generic items which do not alter the perform over the car ie must have the same gear ratio and motor type as per original
  16. Bushings, wires, braid and axles can be changed with any part readily available in Australia.
  17. Original body posts cannot be removed or relocated.
Broken body posts can be repaired if necessary using glue, plastic and plastic/metal tubing.
  18. Axles are allowed to be shimmed or trimmed to reduce axle slop in front and rear.
  19. Stub axles can be replaced with solid one piece axles provided no chassis modifications are required
  20. Tyres for all classes can be standard/stock or replaced with MJK's (refer to class specific rules)
  21. Motor shaft alteration - can be trimmed to avoid fouling on tyre
  22. Scaley guide spring removal - can be removed as it again impedes the car
  23. ballast (lead, bue tac etc) can only be placed inside the body/chassis NOT on any outside surfaces

Nah there was a line missing in editing - basically it means repair work can be done using generic items like Scaly spur gear can be used on FLYCARs cos they are the ame size etc
